DEPRESSION

Major depression. It happens when feelings of sadness, loss, anger or frustration interfere with daily life for weeks, or longer periods of time. Persistent Depressive Disorder It is a depressive mood that lasts 2 years.Depression can be described as feeling sad, melancholic, unhappy, dejected or collapsed. Most of us feel this way from time to time for short periods.

Clinical depression is a mood disorder in which feelings of sadness, loss, anger or frustration interfere with daily life for a period of a few weeks or more.

Considerations
Depression can happen in people of all ages:

Adults
Teenagers
Older adults
Symptoms of depression include:

Irritable or low mood
Difficulty falling asleep or excess sleep
Large change in appetite, often with weight gain or loss
Tiredness and lack of energy
Feelings of worthlessness, self-loathing and guilt
